Materials Consumed: Are you including the landed cost?

Reading tax legislation doesn't always make for the most stimulating reading. One night sleep wasn't coming easy so I started digging in and came across a wonderful gem with regards to Materials consumed cost.

Have you considered all the shipping costs required to bring in small quantities when you're od prototypes?   They can add up quite quickly.    In many cases it's not unheard of for a 10-15 person shop working on a new project to incurr up to $15,000 in shipping.  In several cases now we've been able to find upwards of $5000 in additional credits for companies who now include a portion of these costs into their materials consumed charges.    Sometimes it pays to read the fine print.
